Summer 2022: a tuk-tuk and a summer job. That's how it started. What began as just a seasonal gig quickly became something else entirely - a passion for sharing Lisbon with visitors. There's something magical about showing people your city - seeing their eyes light up at the views, hearing their reactions to the stories. By September, our founder had convinced his cousin to join the adventure. Two guys, one tuk-tuk, and a shared realization: this is what we want to do.
Family dinners became business meetings. 'What if we did this ourselves?' turned into real plans. Early 2023, we took the leap. Vintage City Tours was born - not just a name on paper, but two cousins with a dream to show Lisbon our way. No scripts, no rushed tours, just authentic stories and the freedom to explore at the right pace.
2024 brought new faces to our team - carefully chosen, personally trained. We wanted storytellers who love this city as much as we do. We've grown, but some things won't change: we're still family-run, we still treat every guest like they're riding with a friend, and we still get excited showing you that perfect viewpoint or hidden corner that makes Lisbon special.
